Show Your Employees You Care this Valentine’s Day

Do you recognize your employees when they do great work or meet a goal? Showing employee appreciation is a great way to earn loyalty and keep spirits high in the workplace. Of course, when your employees spend much of their time out in the field, it can be difficult to keep an eye on their efforts. 

Keep in mind that tools like fleet tracking technology can help to monitor driver behavior patterns and productivity levels, so you can see who your top performers are. You can use this type of information to set up recognition programs and reward “star” employees. 

In light of Valentine’s Day, here are a few ideas from EHS Today to show your employees some love and recognition for their hard work: 

  • Boost employee morale with a little inspiration. Happy employees are more likely to work productively. If you find an inspirational quote or story, share it with your team. 
  • Show your appreciation with hand-written thank you notes. If an employee is doing a great job, send them a handwritten note conveying your appreciation. 
  • Celebrate employee achievements. Do you have a company newsletter? Consider including a write-up about “star” employees and their accomplishments. 
  • Share employee achievements with their families. Hearing praise from a leader validates the long hours employees spend at work and increases support from their families.
